Assembly Lines

In 1914, world famous car manufacturer Henry Ford invented an improved assembly process by installing the first conveyor belt-based assembly line in his car production plant in Michigan.

By reducing the assembly time, production costs were also reduced, increasing sales and thereby leading to the mass production of the famous Model T Ford. Being the first company to operate an assembly line process made Ford the world's largest car manufacturer at that time.

Since then, numerous advances in technology and design have helped to create reliable materials handling and automation systems able to control the most complex of today’s assembly requirements.

Exmac Automation is positioned at the forefront of technology, evolving over many years as a specialist in assembly line automation. The company’s wealth of design experience and control engineering specialists ensure that we maintain our position as the UK’s leading manufacturer of assembly line systems and assembly robotics.
